Whenever the conversation of Winnipeg’s best dancers comes up, Alyssa’s name usually follows shortly after. She’s known for her incredible hip-hop dance routines, heels dances, Blue Bomber cheerleading, and most of all, her passion for dance.
She is the closest thing to Honey Daniels that Winnipeg has.
Despite her undeniable talent, Alyssa remains humble. She doesn’t dance for clout or to show off. She dances because of her pure passion for the art and as a way to help share with others what dance gave her.
Alyssa strongly believes the city of Winnipeg has many amazing dancers. Thanks to these talented people, the city can offer good opportunities for up-and-comers. Being able to help others find these opportunities and find the same passion she has is one of the many reasons she continues to dance today.
Her love for helping others has shined outside of dance too. Alyssa recently completed her master's in psychology. Thanks to her unique skill set, she is now working as a school psychologist. This career gives her the chance to help others find a better quality of life.
No matter where life takes her though, and no matter what activities she tries, she will never stop dancing. After all, she has been dancing since she was 6 years old.
Dancing has the unique ability to make her feel confident and when you see her dance, you can understand why. She’s talented in jazz, ballet, hip hop, and her favorite, jazz funk.
Her wide range of dance styles is one of the reasons she was able to dance with the Blue Bomber cheerleaders for 5 years. With that team, she created many memories. She performed at the Grey Cup and even with artists such as One Republic multiple times.

Your best bet is to follow her on Instagram and stay up to date on all of her events! She is still performing at events across the city, including a couple of times a year with The Heels Method.
